place the plant in the beaker filled with water and cover its one part which contains a leaf with poly bag now let this be in sunlight

Light Activity-

To prove that light is essential for the growth of plants by the process of photosynthesis, we can simply try and keep any plant in a dark place where sunlight has no access. After a few days, the plant will start to decay.

                                                       OR

Go to a place with a lot of grass and carry a steel container with you which has no pores to avoid sunlight. Select a patch of grass and keep the container over it. Observe after few days how the grass under the container becomes a shade of lighter green than the ones on the outskirts of it.

Water Activity-

To prove that water is essential in the process of photosynthesis, leave any plant in a dry area and provide it with no water for a several days. Observe after a few days how the plant starts decaying.
