Dampen a cotton cloth with water and place it in a plastic container,

Then, place the container in a dark place for two days, undisturbed.

Take a handful of seeds in a plastic container and add enough water to it so
that the seeds float in the water.
Place the plastic container under sunlight/artificial light, undisturbed, for two days.

Take a handful of seeds in a plastic container and close it with a lid.
Keep the plastic container near a window. Leave it undisturbed for two days.
