• The police officer instructed them not to go there. (indirect speech)

    3. Ravi said, "The earth revolves round the sun. (direct speech)

• Ravi said that the earth revolves around the sun.

Note- Nothing is changed here because it is an universal truth.

  4. The Headmaster said to me, "Where do you live?" (direct speech)

• The headmaster wanted to know from me where I live. (indirect speech)
