Quadratic equation

Given:

y=x^{2} -9

To find:

Graph of this quadratic equation using table of values.

Explanation:

Steps of drawing graph of quadratic equation:

  • To make the graph of any equation one needs cartesian co-ordinate system. This is made with the help of 2 axis (perpendicular lines x and y axis), origin is a point where these two axes intersect.
  • Make a table in which two rows will be there for x and y value, put any value of x in table and find for that x the value of y. This can continue to any number of (x, y) pairs, but for making graph of quadratic equation, at least 3 point is needed.
  • Pot these (x, y) pairs and join them.
  • Graph is ready( for quadratic its parabolic in nature).
  • I  am attaching the table as well as graph of it.
