Let,

According to the question,

$\implies \sf 7x + 5x =\: 60$

$\implies \sf 12x =\: 60$

$\implies \sf x =\: \dfrac{\cancel{60}}{\cancel{12}}$

$\implies \sf x =\: \dfrac{5}{1}$

$\implies \sf\bold{\green{x =\: 5}}$

Hence, the required numbers are :

Now, we have to find the sum of their squares :
