ACTIVITY NO. 21. Useful microorganisms.
Materials : Soil, garden waste, dung, fruit peel, vegetable stalks, paper scrap, glass
metal, plastic bags, two earthen pots.
Procedure:
(1) Take one earthen pot and label it as 'A'.
(2) Now fill it half with soil.
(3) Add some garden waste, dung, fruit peel, vegetable stalks and paper scrap in it
Mix it well
(5) Now take another earthen pot and label it as 'B'.
(6) Fill it half with soil.
(7) Add some pieces of glass, scrap metal and plastic bags to pot 'B'.
(8) Mix it well.

Keep both the pots aside for 3 to 4 weeks.
(10) Observe them after 3 - 4 weeks.
Observations :
(1) What happened to the garbage of pot 'A'? Why?
