a)The steps of the Noble Eightfold Path are Right Understanding, Right Thought, Right Speech, Right Action, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness and Right Concentration.

b)The Tripiṭaka is composed of three main categories of texts that collectively constitute the Buddhist canon: the Sutra Piṭaka, the Vinaya Piṭaka, and the Abhidhamma Piṭaka.

c)Vihara generally refers to a monastery for Buddhist renunciates. The concept is ancient and in early Sanskrit and Pali texts, it meant any arrangement of space or facilities for dwellings.

d)Purva is a Sanskrit word that can be translated as “east” and it refers to one of the directions described in yogic philosophy. The other directions are pashima, uttar, daksini, adhara and urdhva. The origins of these terms to assign directions is explained in the yogic text, the Varaha Purana
