To show that a new substance is
formed on putting an iron nail into
copper sulphate solution
Take 100 ml of water in a beaker
and dissolve a spoonful of copper
sulphate or neela thotha in it. Add a
few drops of dilute sulphuric acid to
it. You will observe that the solution
becomes blue in colour. Take some
of this solution in another beaker
and drop an iron nail into it. Leave
it undisturbed for about 30 minutes. you will observe that the blue colour of the solution change to green and a brown coloured layer gets deposited on the iron nail. this is because a new substance iron sulphate is formed. the brown layer deposited on the iron nail is copper which is another new substance.

How to write it in words?

PLEASE MARK THIS AS THE BRAINLIEST.

Iron nail on dipping in Copper sulphate solution reacts in it. After sometime, since iron is more reactive than copper, therefore it displaces copper and copper is deposited on iron nail making it brownish and iron makes the copper sulphate solution blue to trees by removing copper and changing it to iron sulphate solution.

Fe + CuSO4 = FeSO4 + Cu

It is a displacement reaction in which IRON(Ferrous) displaces COPPER(Cuprous) from Copper Sulphate Solution (CuSO4 Solution) as IRON is more reactive than copper.
