Yes in actually it's actually 23 hours 56 minutes and 4 seconds this is the amount of time it takes for the earth to completely rotate around its axis our astronomers call this a side real day now wait a second that needs a day is 4 minutes shorter than we think it is you have always think that time would add up day by day and within a few months they would be night and night would be day
