Here is your answer,

AD + AD/√3  = 8
√3AD + AD = 8√3
AD(√3 + 1) = 8√3
AD =    8√3  
         √3 + 1

ad+ad/√3=8
=(ad√3+ad)/√3=8
=ad√3+ad=8√3
=ad(√3+1)=8√3
=ad=8√3/(√3+1)
after rationalisation
it will come
4(3-√3)......now is it all right
