Proof:
Triangles ΔAOD and ΔBOC are similar by AAS congruency
Since:
(i) ∠A = ∠B (perpendicular angles)
(ii) AD = BC (given)
(iii) ∠AOD = ∠BOC (vertically opposite angles)
∴ ΔAOD ≅ ΔBOC.
So, AO = OB ( by CPCT).
