SOLUTION:-

Given:-

  • AD perpendicular AB.
  • BC perpendicular AB

To prove:-

  • CD bisects AB.

Proof:-

In ∆ AOD and ∆ BOC

=> <AOD = <BOC [vertically opposite angles]

=> <DAO = <CBO [each 90°]

=> AD = BC [given]

Therefore,

∆ AOD congruent to ∆ BOC [By AAS congruency]

Therefore,

AO = BO [BY CPCT]

Hence,

CD bisects AB.

Hence proved ✔️

Answer:

In triangle OAD & OBC

AD=BC (GIVEN)

<OAD=<OBC (EACH=90*)

<AOD=<BOC (VERTICLE OPP ANGLE)

THEREFORE,

TRIANGLE ODA=OCB (AAS CRITERIA)

OA=OB (CPCT)

So, CD bisects AB.
