As we know angles opposite are equal to equal sides
So here AB= AC
THEREFORE <B = <C
now in ABD AND ADC
<B = <C
AB = AC
AD = AD
SO SAS similarity
therefore BD = DC
So here AB= AC
THEREFORE <B = <C

therefore BD = DC

Excuse me if we have to show that ad is a median then we have two equal BD = to DC
