Since Sum of all measures of triangle is 180°.

Angle BAC = 60°

Since,

AD is bisector of angle BAC.

Therefore,

Angle CAD = 1/2 BAC

Angle CAD = 30°

Therefore,

In triangle ADC,

CAD+ACD+ADC=180°

30°+40°+ADC=180°

ADC=180°-70°=110°

Therefore, Angle ADC=110°

first apply Angle sum property to triangle ABC

so angle A + angle B + angle C = 180 degrees

angle A + 60 + 40 = 180

so angle A = 80 degrees

now its given that AD is the bisector

so angle BAD = angle DAC = 80/2 = 40 degrees

now apply Angle sum property in triangle ADC

so angle A + angle D + angle C = 180 degrees

40 + angle D + 40 = 180

angle D = 180-80 = 100 degrees

so the value of angle ADC is 100 degrees
