Let us take the chocolates of Adam 'x' and the chocolates of Bill 'y' . If Bill has already 2 chocolates and he took extra 2 chocolates from Adam than Bill has twice of chocolates than Adam. So, the equation will be
=> X + 2Y = 4
Here, 4 has come because the total chocolates they have are 4.
