Answer

Find out the  area of the wrapping paper (in cm²).

To proof

As given

Adam finds a rectangular wrapping paper and wraps a string around it.

Formula

Area\ of\ rectangle = length\times breadth

As given

He notices that the length of string required is 6 times the breadth of the rectangle, which is 16 cm.

breadth = 16 cm

length = 6× 16

           = 96 cm

Put this all in the above formula

Area of the rectangular wrapping paper =  96 ×16

                                                                  = 1536 cm²

Hence proved
