Let's make the amount of feet a variable, x.
So we have a function f(x)=0.04x as yarn is $0.04 a foot.
Now they want you to spend $0.52 on yarn, so f(x)= 0.52.
∴f(x)=0.04x=0.52
0.52=0.04x
x=0.52 /0.04
x=13
ANS: 13 feet.
