communicated with the man that
George had spotted?
Jerome Klapka Jerome (1859–1927) was an English writer who was best
known for the comic travelogue Three Men in a Boat (1887). Three Men on
the Bummel (cycle) is the follow-up to Three Men in a Boat, and like the
first book, it describes the adventures that Jerome enjoys with his friends,
George and Harris. Jerome was very interested in new ideas and experiences.
He travelled widely throughout Europe, enjoyed skiing in the Alps and visited
Russia and America several times. His work has been translated into several
foreign languages and Three Men in a Boat is considered a classic today.
