The Answer Is 23/12

GIVEN

Numbers 2/3 and 4/5

TO FIND

Addition of the number 2/3 and reciprocal of 4/5

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows -

we have to reciprocal the fraction 4/5

To find the reciprocal of the fraction. The fraction is divided by 1

Reciprocal = 4/5 ÷ 1 = 5/4

Now we will add 2/3 and 5/4

Since the denominators are unequal. we will make denominators equal by taking the LCM of denominators and converting the fractions into like fractions.

L.C.M of 3 and 4 = 12
