➤ Answer :-

 \tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{2}{5}  +  \dfrac{1}{3}

Convert them into like fractions by taking the LCM of the denominators i.e, 5 and 3.

LCM of 5 and 3 is 15.

 \tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{2 \times 3}{5 \times 3}  +  \dfrac{1 \times 5}{3 \times 5}

 \tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{6}{15}  +  \dfrac{5}{15}  =  \dfrac{6 + 5}{15}

 \tt \longrightarrow \dfrac{11}{15}

\Huge\thereforeThe answer is \tt\dfrac{11}{15}

More to know…………

  • While adding or subtracting the fractions, if the fractions are having different denominators i.e, if they are unlike fractions, we should convert them to like fractions by taking the LCM of the denominators.
  • If the given fractions are having the same denominators i.e, if they are like fractions, we can add them easily by adding the given numerators together.
