To add  : 2a + 3b + 5c and 6a - 7b -8c

  • Addition as denoted by(+).
  • Properties of addition are as follows
  1. Identity property of zero.
  2. Inverse property.
  3. Commutative property.
  4. Associative property.
  • Here , while adding both the terms we add like terms together .
  • Therefore on solving  we get ,

        (2a + 3b + 5c ) +( 6a - 7b -8c )

       = 8a -4b -3c  

Hence , sum of 2a + 3b + 5c and 6a - 7b -8c  is 8a -4b -3c .
