Add 2a + 3b + c + d, -a + b - c - d and 3a - 4b - 2c - 2d. Find the value of the final expression of a= 2, b= 3, c= 4, d= 5.

\mathfrak\pink{Solution}

We have to find the sum of the expressions.

2a + 3b + c + d, -a + b - c - d and 3a - 4b - 2c - 2d

(2a + 3b + c + d) + (-a + b - c - d) + (3a - 4b - 2c - 2d)

2a + 3b + c + d - a + b - c - d + 3a - 4b - 2c - 2d

2a - a + 3a + 3b + b - 4b + c - c - 2c + d - d - 2d

4a + 0 × b - 2c - 2d

Sum= 4a - 2c - 2d

As per question,

a= 2, b= 3, c= 4, d=5

So, on substituting the values we get,

Sum= 4 × 2 - 2 × 4 - 2 × 5

= 8 × 8 - 10

= -10

The value of the expression is -10.
