Given to add the terms :-

2x-3x+7x-8,-5x+2x-4x+1,3-6x+5x-x

Concept to know :-

For adding these We cannot add unlike terms We can add only like terms

Solution:-

(2x-3x+7x-8)+(-5x+2x-4x+1)+(3-6x+5x-x)

Remove the brackets

2x - 3x + 7x - 8 - 5x + 2x -4x + 1 + 3 - 6x + 5x - x

  1. Keep "x terms " aside and numerical terms aside

2x - 3x + 7x - 5x + 2x - 4x - 6x + 5x - x - 8 + 1 + 3

2x + 7x + 2x+ 5x -3x -5x -4x - 6x -x -8 + 4

16x -19x - 8 + 4

-3x - 4

So, the sum of 2x-3x+7x-8,-5x+2x-4x+1,3-6x+5x-x is -3x-4
