Answer:

2x+y=21-------------(1)

2x+4y=54-----------(2)

(2)-(1)

2x+4y-2x-y=54-21

3y=33

y=11

substitute y=11 in (1)

2x+11=21

2x=10

x=5

therefore x=5 and y=11

Answer:

THE QUESTION IS INCORRECT . I AM FINDIND THE VALUES OF X AND Y ONLY WHICH ARE

X= 5

Y = 11

Step-by-step explanation:

2x+y=21

2x = 21-y

x = (21-y)/2  ....(1)

2x+4y=54

2x = 54-4y

x = (54-4y)/2  .......(2)

joining (1) and (2)

(21-y)/2  = (54-4y)/2

21-y = 54 - 4y

3y = 54-21 = 33

y= 33/3 =11  ** ********Y

back to (1)

x = (21-y)/2

x = (21-11)/2 = 10/2 = 5 ****************X

ACCORDING TO UR QUESTION add 2x+y=21 to 2x+4y=54

the ans. will be  =21+54 = 75
