Solution :-
we know that,
- To add a positive number means that we have to move the point to the right side of the number line .
- To add a negative number means that we have to move the point to the left side of the number line .
given number are :-
→ 5 = Positive number
→ 4 = Positive number .
so, we can say that, we have to move to the right side of number line .
Steps :-
- Draw a number line and indicate negative integers to left side of 0 and positive integers to the right side of 0 .
- Locate number 5 .
- Now, adding 6 means we have to move 6 units to the right .
- 5 + 6 = 11 . 6 units from 5 is number 11 .
- Locate number 11 on the number line now .
