SOLUTION :

Using BODMAS we can solve it.

Full form of BODMAS : Brackets, Orders, Division, Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction

So,

500 + 200 × 4

now, we will multiply the numbers (200 and 4), 200 × 4 = 800

= 500 + 800

adding the numbers we get,

= 1300

Hence,

500 + 200 × 4= 1300

BODMAS rule is used as if we would not follow it everyone would have different answer as one may add first, one may subtract first....

Answer:

1300

Step-by-step explanation:

B - Bracket () or []

O - Of

D - Divusion ÷

M - Multiplication ×

A - Addition +

S - Subtraction -

We have to follow the order of the operations in bodmas-

Let us solve

=> 500 + 200 × 4

[first, multiply 200 with 4]

=> 500 + 800

[Now, add 500 and 800]

=> 1300

Hence,

500 + 200 × 4 = 1300
