Answer:

Question :-

Add -8/5 and -5/3.

Required Answer :-

 \frac{ - 49}{15}

Solution :-

 \frac{ - 8}{5}  + ( \frac{ - 5}{3} )

we have to make their denominator equal

so we will multiply the denominator of -8/5 with -5/3 and then the denominator of -5/3 with -8/5

 \frac{ - 8 \times 3}{5 \times 3} +( \frac{ - 5 \times 5}{3 \times 5}  )

 \frac{ - 24}{15}  + (  \frac{ - 25}{15} )

Now we denominator as common

 \frac{ - 24 + ( - 25)}{15}

 =  \frac{ - 24 - 25}{15}

 =  \frac{ - 49}{15}

Therefore your answer is -49/15
