Since denominator cannot be negative, therefore we place that negative sign to the numerator .

=> \dfrac{(-9)}{14} + \dfrac{3}{14}

=> \dfrac{(-9)+3}{14}

=> [tex]\dfrac{(-6)}{14}[\tex]

QUESTION ↘️

Add 9/-14 and 3/14

ANSWER ↘️

9/-14 << -9/14

Now as denominators are same, we can simply add them up.

-9/14 + 3/14

= 6/14

Or

3/7
