Add acid to water very slowly but do not add water to acid because if we mix acid in water the heat evolved is easly absorbed by large amount of water without any sutton explosion.
But when we mix water into acid the heat evolved will not be absorbed by water rather it transform water molecules into water vapor explosively which carry acid on it. They may split on our clothes, face or hand and course serious burn.
