 \frac{ - 15}{4}  +  \frac{43}{8} \\  \\ lcm = 2 \times 4 = 8 \\  \\  =  \frac{ - 15}{4}   \times  \frac{2}{2}  =  \frac{ - 30}{8}  \\  \\  =  \frac{43 - 30}{8}  \\  \\  =  \frac{13}{8}  \\  \\  = 1 \frac{5}{8}

-15/4+43/8

Now to equalize the denominator we multiply the 1st part with 2 ,so that the denominator would be 4x2=8

so, multiply with  2 both numerator and denominator

⇒-15×2/4×2 +43/8

⇒-30/8+43/8

⇒13/8 be the answer
