What are Question tags ?

A question tag is a very short clause at the end of a statement which changes the statement into a question.

Example :

For example, in 'She said half price, didn't she?' , the words 'didn't she' are a question tag.

Rules :

• The sentence and the question tag must be in the same tense.
• For negative question tag, use the Contracted form of 'helping verb' and 'not' .
• E.g didn't, hadn't, won't, etcIf the Sentence is positive, the question tag must be negative and vice versa.
• Always use pronouns in the question tag.
