Question

Add the following:-

 \frac{( {a}^{2}  +  {b}^{2} )}{4}   +  \frac{ {c}^{2} }{8}

Solution

 =  \frac{( {a}^{2}  +  {b}^{2} )}{4}   +  \frac{ {c}^{2} }{8}  \\  =  \frac{8( {a}^{2} +  {b)}^{2}  + 4 {(c}^{2})  }{4 \times 8}  \\  =  \frac{4(2 {a}^{2}  +  {2b}^{2}  + 4 {c}^{2}) }{4 \times 8}  \\  =  \frac{2( {a}^{2}  +  {b}^{2} + 2 {c}^{2}  )}{2 \times 4}  \\  =   \frac{{a}^{2}  +  {b}^{2} +  {2c}^{2}  }{4}
