Answer:

(iii) Answer is 1

Step-by-step explanation:

(iii) y/y+4 + 2y/y-4

At first we rationalise the denominators.

=y(y-4)/(y+4)(y-4) + 2y(y+4)/(y-4)(y+4)

=y²-4y/y²-4² + 2y²+8y/y²-4²

=y²-4y+2y²+8y/ y²-4²

=3y²+4y/y²-4²

=y(3y+4)/y²-16

=3y+4/y-16 -------(i)

=>3y+4=y-16

=>2y=-16-4

=>y=-10 -------(ii)

Now,

Putting (ii) in (i) we get:

-30+4/-10-16

=-26/-26

=1

Your answer is 1.
