Greatest two digit number=99
Smallest three digit number=100
negative of it=-100
adding them
99+(-100)
=-1

greatest 2 digit number = 99
 smallest three digit number (negative) = -100 
add them 
according to the sum 
         99 +(-100)
         99 - 100
        = -1
therefore the sum of the given numbers is -1
