Addario says she is always aware of one particular trait. What is that trait; why is she constantly cognoscente of it and how do her colleagues react as a result?

Addario seems to feel fear the entire time because she feels she could die; its terrifying. However, while she’s working she tries to manage that.She is always aware of her gender in any situation. Her colleagues are not and her colleagues would not have cared. They treat her like any other.
