Adding 4 to twice a no. yield 25/6. Find the no.

So according to question,

2x + 4 = 25/6

2x = 25/6 - 4

2x = 1/6

x = 1/12.

Let the number be x .

ATP, 4 is added to 2x to make 26/5.

⇒2x+4 = 26/5

⇒2x = (26/5) - 4 {transposing 4 to RHS}

⇒2x = (26-20)/5

⇒x = 6/5*1/2=3/5

Answer : Hence, the required fraction is 3/5
