⚫Adding water to sugar is a physical change.
➡Physical change :- Changes in the physical properties of substances.
Here in case of sugar in water the change in physical property is sugar dissolve in water .so it is physical change .
⚫Adding water to slaked lime is chemical change.
➡One or more substance react with one another substance which are readily available in environment is called chemical change.
Here in this case , the slaked lime reacts with water and produces heat. so,it is chemical change.

in the case of sugar being added to water,sugar gets dissolved but whereas when we add water to slaked lime its dissolves and produces CO2 ( heat ) therefore its a chemical change
