Given,

The addition of 2 consecutive numbers is 11.

To find,

To determine the two consecutive numbers and write an equation.

Solution,

First, If n is an integer, (n + 1) and (n + 2) will be the next two consecutive integers.

Then the equation stands as n, (n+1),(n+3)

There can also be a bifurcation while determining the consecutive numbers that are odd and even.

∴The equation for even = 2n, 2n+2, 2n+4, 2n+6...

 The equation for even =2n+1, 2n+3, 2n+5, 2n+7...

In both above cases, the difference must be 2, otherwise, it will be a consecutive integer but it will neither be odd nor even.

Now our given value is 11,

We have to check two condtitons :

1. Consecutive numbers.

2. Sum will be equal to 11.

From the above conditions, the values will be

n=5, n+1=6

Hence the equation will be n +(n+1) =11

                                         ⇒5+(5+1)=11.
