Addition of a drop of HCl to an acidic buffer of acetic acid and sodium acetatedoes not produce any appreciable change in the pH of the solution. Why?

because we added HCl to the acidic buffer that means both are acidic mediums. when acid is added to acid no change is observed. so we cannot see any change when HCl is added to acidic buffer.
