Answer:

23

Step-by-step explanation:

let the digit at tens place be a and that in one's place be b

the number becomes 10a+b

given a + b = 5..........eqn 1

again by reversing the digit the new number will be

10b+a

as per question

(10b+a) - (10a+b) = 9

10b + a - 10a -b = 9

9b - 9a =9

b-a = 1........eqn 2

adding eqn 1 and 2, we have

2b=6

b=3

this gives a=5-3=2

the number is 10a+b

= 20+3

=23.
