Addition of Vanadium to Steel results in improvement of 1) fatigue strength.

To obtain fine grain structure in the tool steel Vanadium is used.

Even if less than 0.2% is added to the low and the medium carbon steels, it remarkably increases the tensile strength and the elastic limit without ductility loss.
