Punjab was the state where Adi Amberdkar samaj occured . This movement was a religious movement in Indianian aimed at bring back Indian culture  and traditions which were being washed away by the European culture which they had brought along when they had colonized Indian. Adi is one of the most respected icon in Indian religion and traditions and is well known when he protected it when he  came up with this movement to secure Hinduism which was being washed away by the religion that the British came along with.
