C.P of two refrigerator = Rs.28500

C.P of one refrigerator = Rs.x

C.P of other refrigerator =28500 - x

S.P of 1st Refrigerator = x * 10/100 +x

= x/10 + x = 11x/10

S.P of 2nd refrigerator = 28500 - x -28500 - x * 10/100

= 28500 - x = 28500 - x/10

Now do rest of this yourself

Aditi bought two refrigerators for 28,500. She soldeach at the same selling price. On one refrigerator she made a profit of 10% and on the other she incurred loss of 10%. Find the cost price and the selling price of each refrigerator.

To find

• The cost price and the selling price of each refrigerator.

Solution,

= let the C.P of one refrigerator = xRs

= C.P of other refrigerator = 28500-x

Profit = 10% of x = 10x/100 = x/10

S.P = x+x/10 = 11x/10 Rs

Loss = 10/100 of 28500-x

= 2850/10-x

= S.P = (28500-x/10)

= 28500-10x-2850+x/10

= 256500-9x/10

= 11x/10 = 256500-9x/10

= 11x+9 = 246500

= 20x = 256500

x = 256500/20

x = 12825

C.P of one refrigerator = 12825Rs

Other refrigerator = 28500-12825

= 15675rupees.
