here is ur answer


as we know that the

distance = velocity \times time \div 2


in this case we have to find the distance.

the velocity as known is
346.

the time over here is
4 seconds
this time is for the echo to return.

so if we apply the formula we get...

346 \times 4 \div 2
which is

346 \times 2
so the distance will be

692m
