GivEn :

  • Sides of the rectangle are 12cm and 5cm.

To find :

  • The length of the diagonal?

Solution :

☯ Let's consider ABCD is a rectangle.

According to the Question:

  • AB² + BC² = CA²

As we know that,

Pythagoras theorem!

Therefore,

➻ CA² = AB² + BC²

➻ CA² = (5)² + (12)²

➻ CA² = 25 + 144

➻ CA² = 169

➻ √CA = √169

CA = 13cm

∴ Hence, The length of its Diagonal is 13cm.
