Let length of diagonal =d cm
d {}^{2}  = 7 {}^{2}  + 24 {}^{2}
d {}^{2}  = 49 + 576
d {}^{2}  = 625
d = 25cm

Let ABCD be a rectangle.

In ∆ABC ,

Angle B = 90°

 \sf { AC^2 = AB^2 + BC^2} ... Pythagoras \: theorem

=  \sf { 7^2 + 24^2 }

= 49 + 576

= 625

AC = √625

AC = 25 cm

The length of the diagonal is 25 cm.
