length of diagonal = root of (length)^2 + (breadth)^2

=root (7)^2 +(24)^2

=root 49 + 576

= root 625

= 25

Therfore the length of its diagonal Is 25 cm

Answer: 25 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

length of the rectangle, l = 24 cm

Breadth of the rectangle, b = 7 cm

Let the diagonal of the rectangle be 'd' cm

Then,

according to Pythagoras theorem,

d² = l² + b²

d² = 24² + 7²

d² = 576 + 49

d² = 625

d² = 25²

d = 25 cm

Therefore, diagonal of the rectangle = 25 cm

Umeshlohani: no need of doing such calculations 7,24 and 25 are triplets
richa0824: that's true ...But I Wanted it to be clear and detailed so i did it stepwise so i
