Given: bigger side as base = 15 cm

Smaller side as base = 9cm

Distance (height) between the longer sides = 6cm

Area of Parallelogram= base (15cm) × height

= 15 × 6 = 80 cm²

Area of Parallelogram = 80 cm²

Area of Parallelogram =base(9 cm) × height

80 = 9 × height

Height = 80 /9= 8.8 cm

Hence, the Distance between the shorter sides is 8.8 cm
