Sanskritization is the right answer.

Sanskritization is a special form of cultural change observed in India. This term indicates the process through which caste or tribes placed lower in the social hierarchy attempt higher mobility by following the customs and traditions of the upper class. Prof. M.N. Srinivas introduced this concept of Sanskritization for the first time in his work  “Religion and society amongst the Coorgs of South India” to explain the social mobility in the ancient class formation of Indian society.
