The statement is an argumentative point of view. perspective is derived from the word perception which means the ability to see,hear or sense things. So adults should not impose their perspective on child but instead they should help the child to understand the difference between good & bad while their upbringing. They should have adult ego state of mind to develop a child,s personality.
They are much more experience than child but restrictions only take child on a wrong track. So i agree with this statement to some extent.
